Skinniness is next to goddessness

This is a heartwarming and heartbreaking story. Lacey is an amazingly sweet teenager who stands up for the underdog no matter the cost. Her experience with her peers and her family life has made her feel like the unwanted fat girl. She can’t see what an amazing girl she is. She can only see the unwanted fat. A bad case of the stomach helps her lose some weight and the reaction of others takes her down the road of an eating disorder. The friendship between Tuck and Lacey is frustrating at times but ultimately heartwarming. The horrible words that are said about Lacey and others like her is heartbreaking. This story tackles a tough subject but does it beautifully. I highly recommend this book.
